Jason has been serving as a Public Safety Patrol Sergeant since 2021. Jason is a dedicated security professional and provides a friendly and welcoming presence on the evening shift for campus. He is committed to upholding and living by the Dragons core values of Grit, Humility, and Heart. Jason is a certified Red Cross first aid instructor, has attended Minnesota's Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training, and is a Dragon Valor Veteran Ally. Additionally, Jason is a board certified Physical Security Professional (PSP) through ASIS International. Prior to joining the team at MSUM, Jason served in various security roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. Jason is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, attaining the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class in service with the Fleet Marine Force as a Religious Program Specialist. Jason earned a bachelor's degree in History Education from NDSU in 2017. Outside of work, Jason is a busy family man. He and his wife have three children and a puppy.
