I began teaching at MSUM in 2005, after earning a Ph.D. in Social/Health Psychology from North Dakota State University. My primary areas of teaching are Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Statistics, and Research Methods. I have a Ph.D in Psychology from the University of California Berkeley and specialize in infant and child development, perception, and cognition. I teach courses in Developmental Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Cognition, and History of Psychology. Students are encouraged to join my research group in the Child Development Lab, which has included studies on the development of depth perception, emotional discrimination, and music perception to name a few.
