Exercise Science Scholarships

Minnesota State Moorhead offers a variety of Exercise Science scholarships for current and incoming students. Scholarships are listed below. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.

• Donald Anderson Physical Education

  This scholarship is awarded to upperclass students who are majoring in Physical Education. 

  Write a 250-500 word essay on what your professional goals are on your intent to teach elementary education.
• Excellence in Athletic Training Endowed

  This scholarship is awarded to students who are majoring in Athletic Training and demonstrate financial need. 

  Financial need is determined through the FAFSA. If you have not completed a FAFSA already, you can do so at studentaid.gov. 

  Please submit an essay addressing your attitude towards the profession of athletic training, articulate your financial need for the scholarship, and your good academic standing in the Athletic Training Education Program. 
• Joan Sprague

  This scholarship is awarded to Junior or Senior students who are Physical Education Teaching majors. 

  No additional requirements are needed.
• Lyngaas/Adair Health Educator

  This scholarship is awarded to Junior or Senior students who are majoring in Health Education and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. 

  No additional requirements are needed.
• Orlow Nokken Health & Physical Education

  This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Health Education Teaching, Physical Education Teaching, or Exercise Science who are in good academic standing.

  No additional requirements are needed.
• Steve Bowman Athletic Training

  This scholarship is awarded to students who are in the Athletic Training program. 

  No additional requirements are needed.
• Cynthia Sam Booth Athletic Training

  This scholarship is awarded to full-time, Junior or Senior students who are majoring in Athletic Training. 

  No additional requirements are needed.
