I received my undergraduate degree in psychology at MSUM, returned for my master’s and specialist degrees in school psychology, and completed my doctorate at UND in teacher education. I spent 5 years as a school psychologist in Iowa, then returned to MSUM as a part-time instructor for psychology and education while working part-time in the Education department. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Psychology and School Psychology programs. My interests are differentiated instruction, co-teaching, early literacy and language, strategic rhetoric, and study abroad experiences for educators.”

I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and a graduate of MSUM. I've previously worked in school districts as a School Psychologist and Special Education Coordinator. I teach undergraduate Psychology and graduate-level School Psychology courses. My professional interests include effective early intervention services for children from birth until the age of three, developmental and sex education in schools, the use of efficient and effective screening tools and assessments in the K-12 setting, and establishing systems of efficient and impactful behavioral supports for students that can be provided within the general education environment. I teach in the graduate School Psychology Program and also teach undergraduate Psychology courses such as General Psychology and Developmental Psychology. I received my Ph.D. In School Psychology from the University of Oregon and I am interested in early literacy and language development and developing multi-tiered systems of support for children in schools and preschools.
